The grieving family of Rupesh Swarnakar, the principal of Bal Ekta Boarding School in Kalaiya sub-metropolitan city of Bara, has voiced strong objections to the role of the police in the ongoing murder investigation. The family vehemently disputes the police’s claim that the motive behind Rupesh’s murder was his alleged romantic involvement with Radha Gupta, a narrative they assert is entirely false and damaging to the deceased’s reputation.

In a press conference held at their residence in Kalaiya, Bhola Sarraf, Rupesh’s brother, expressed deep dissatisfaction with the police investigation. He emphasized, “The police investigation is far from satisfactory,” pointing out the inaccuracies in the portrayal of Rupesh’s relationship with Radha Gupta.

The family, still reeling from the loss, has refrained from filing a formal complaint with the police. Sumodh Kumar Sarraf, another caregiver and manager at the boarding school, criticized the police for causing additional anguish to the grieving family. He disclosed that Radha had been removed from the boarding school seven months ago due to suspicious behavior. Sumodh accused the police of attempting to tarnish Rupesh’s reputation by connecting his name to hers and condemned the arrests of individuals like Riyaz and Jamil, who work at Bal Ekta Boarding School, without proper evidence.

Sumodh Kumar Sarraf issued a press release later in the day, warning of an imminent protest against the police administration for diverting the incident through propaganda. The release urged stakeholders to unite in demanding justice for Rupesh, emphasizing the family’s dwindling hope for a fair resolution due to the actions of the police.

In the statement, the family demanded the truth about the incident be made public and emphasized the importance of not falsely implicating innocent individuals. They also called upon the police administration to address eight specific points of concern raised by the family members, seeking clarification and transparency in the ongoing investigation. The family’s request for a just and unbiased inquiry continues, as they navigate this challenging period mourning the loss of their beloved Rupesh Swarnakar.
