A woman has been arrested for allegedly killing her son in Siraha district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Police have arrested 34-year-old Sarita Kumari, who lives in Lahan Municipality 1 of Sakhuwanankarakatti Rural Municipality Ward 5, on the charge of murdering her son.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She told the neighbors that her five-year-old son Ayush had not been seen since last Tuesday morning. When the neighbors failed to find the child, they informed the police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DSP Muktinath Sapkota, spokesperson of the District Police Office, Siraha, said that Ayush’s body was found in Sarita’s bedroom while the police were searching and investigating. He mentioned that the police discovered Ayush’s dead body hidden in the room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exact reason why Sarita killed her son has not been revealed. However, DSP Sapkota stated that she was mentally deranged and confessed to killing her son by strangling him in a fit of anger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the police, Sarita had divorced her husband and was living alone with her son. They anticipate more information to emerge following the postmortem report of Ayush’s body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The District Police Office in Sirha has informed that the Sirha district court has extended the deadline by 7 days in the case against Sarita, and the police are continuing their investigation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
